Privacy Policy — Bzbzanq
Effective date: 2026-05-20
Bzbzanq («Բզբզանք») is a free Android app of Armenian party games
developed by Art Habetyan. This page explains what data the app handles,
what it doesn't, and how to contact us.
Summary
- No ads. No analytics. The app never sells data and has no ad SDKs.
- Sign-in is optional. All games work fully without an account; sign-in only enables cloud backup of your own content.
- Crash logs are sent automatically (Firebase Crashlytics) so we can fix bugs.
- Anonymous aggregate game stats are sent for one game mode (Higher-or-Lower) to tune card difficulty.
- Feedback you write is sent only if you tap "Send" in the Feedback screen.
What is collected automatically
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the app crashes, a crash report is sent to Google Firebase
Crashlytics. This includes the device model, OS version, app version,
and a stack trace pointing to where the crash happened. It does
not include your name, email, contacts, files,
location, or anything you typed in the app. Crashlytics is disabled in
debug builds and enabled in the release build distributed via Google
Play. There is currently no in-app toggle to disable it.
Aggregate game stats (Higher-or-Lower mode)
The "Captive of Fate → Higher or Lower" mode sends counters of which
cards were guessed correctly vs incorrectly, so that the game can
rebalance difficulty over time. These counters are stored in Cloud
Firestore under a collection (hl_card_stats) that is
not tied to any user account or device identifier — it
is aggregate-only. Uploads happen at most every 10 days.
What is collected only when you sign in (optional)
The app has an optional Google Sign-In on the Settings
screen. If you sign in:
- Your Google email address and Firebase
user ID are stored in Cloud Firestore
(
users/{uid}) so we can recognize your data on a new
device.
- Your custom cards (the questions / answers you
create yourself inside Most Likely To, Never Have I Ever, and
Would You Rather) are backed up to
users/{uid}/customCards/….
- Your watchlist tags ("I've seen this" /
"Not interested" toggles in the movie & Higher-or-Lower modes)
are backed up to
users/{uid}/watchTags/….
- Your Wordle progress (current level, streak,
recently won and missed words) is backed up to
users/{uid}/wordleState/….
Backups happen at most once every 7 days while you are signed in. If
you never sign in, none of this leaves your device.
What is collected only when you submit feedback
The Settings screen contains an optional Feedback form.
Only if you fill it in and tap "Send", the app
transmits:
- The message text you typed
- The optional email you provided (if any)
- Your app version and device model line
…to the developer's private Telegram bot via the Telegram Bot API
(api.telegram.org). Telegram receives and stores this
message under Telegram's own privacy policy
(telegram.org/privacy).
The developer uses these messages only to fix bugs and consider feature
requests.
What is stored only on your device
The app uses Android's standard local key-value storage
(SharedPreferences) for:
- Your language and theme preferences
- Player names you've entered for multi-player modes
- Prompts / cards you've already seen, so they don't repeat
- Locally created custom cards (before any optional backup)
- Wordle progress, daily streaks, and missed-word history
- "Watchlist" and "Not interested" tags for movies and Higher-or-Lower
- Whether you've completed the first-launch onboarding
This local data never leaves your device unless you sign in (in which
case the subset listed above is also backed up to Firestore). You can
erase all of it by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by
uninstalling the app.
Permissions the app requests
- Internet — required to send crash reports, fetch
movie posters and city photos from a content-delivery network
(Cloudflare R2), download display fonts on first launch, perform
optional sign-in / cloud backup, and send feedback if you use that
screen.
The app does not request location, contacts, camera,
microphone, file / storage, or background activity permissions.
Third-party services
- Firebase by Google — Authentication, Cloud
Firestore, and Crashlytics
(privacy policy)
- Google Sign-In — optional account login
(privacy policy)
- Google Fonts — display fonts, downloaded once and cached
(privacy policy)
- Cloudflare R2 — content-delivery network for
movie posters and city photos (image GETs only, no personal data
is sent)
(privacy policy)
- Telegram Bot API — receives feedback messages you choose to send
(privacy policy)
- Wikipedia — opens in your external browser only
if you tap a Wikipedia link inside the app
(privacy policy)
- Google Play — distributes the app and may collect
installation / crash data under Google Play's own policies.
What the app does not do
- No advertising and no ad SDKs.
- No third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel,
Amplitude, AppsFlyer, etc.).
- No location collection — precise or approximate.
- No access to contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or files
outside the app.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data with third
parties for marketing.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
Children
The app is intended for users 13 years of age or older and is not
directed at children under 13. Some game modes contain adult-oriented
prompts (a "Spicy" category in Would You Rather, Never Have I Ever,
Most Likely To, and Truth or Dare); these are opt-in via a chip in the
game UI. The developer does not knowingly collect personally
identifiable information from children under 13 (under 16 in certain
jurisdictions). If you believe a child has provided personal
information through the app, contact us and we will take appropriate
action.
Data retention and deletion
- Local data is removed when you uninstall the app
or clear its storage in Android settings.
- Cloud-synced data (if you signed in): email
art.habetyan@gmail.com
from the Google account you used and we will delete your
users/{uid} document and all sub-collections within
30 days.
- Aggregate Higher-or-Lower stats are not tied to
any user account and cannot be selectively deleted, since they are
pooled across all players.
- Feedback messages you chose to send are stored in
the developer's private Telegram chat and can be removed on
request — email
art.habetyan@gmail.com
with the approximate date and content of your message.
- Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics
under Google's own retention policies (typically up to 90 days
for stack traces).
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version is
always available at this URL, and the effective date at the top of
the page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the app
after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
